Where to find me

You can find me inside;

Ocean Tanning at 40, Station Road, Queensferrry, Deeside, Flintshire, CH5 1SX.

There is parking on the street, but a time limit of 30 minutes applies. There is a pay and display car park operated by Flintshire County Council, located by the Spar convenience store. Charges are; 50p for 1.5 hours, 70p for 2.5 hours and £1.70 for up to 7 hours. These charges are enforced between the hours of 8am-3pm Monday to Saturday (excluding Bank Holidays). (Correct as of February 2024, please check FCC website for latest charge details)

Monday & Tuesday - Closed

Wednesday, Thursday & Friday - 9am to 7pm

Saturday - 10am to 6pm

Sunday - Closed

Some days I may be available from 6am which is great for shift workers, but these spaces are very rare and not put on the main booking system. Please ask if this is something that would suit you better.

About me

Andrew - Expert skin therapist

Andrew Rowe-Henney Skincare was opened in January 2009. I first started my training in hairdressing back in 2000 which I followed with beauty therapy. During my training at Deeside College (now Coleg Cambria) I found my passion for skin care and electrical modalities. Having had acne myself I found the skin a fascinating subject.

Working at other salons I decided my next adventure would be working for myself. So in 2009 I started renting space in Queensferry, Flintshire and set about curating the brands whose products and technology I wanted to use. I have added various treatments over the years to compliment my offerings while also taking additional training and refresher training each year keep me up to date with the latest techniques and technologies and am currently trained to Level 4 in aesthetic therapies.

I am a cosmetic formulator also and create products for exclusive treatments and products found only in my treatment room.

As a member of the British Association of Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology (BABTAC), my qualifications are independently verified which is a joining requirement. To see if your therapist is BABTAC accredited visit babtac.com/salons

Please also note debit or credit card payment is preferred. I do accept cash payments however as no change is kept on premises the change you receive will be kept as credit on your account for next time.

MASCED accredited

I am MASCED accredited. This is a special initiative for the hair and beauty industries which aims to give workers in these industries the tools to identify the early changes in the skin that can indicate skin cancers. If something looks like it needs checking by your doctor I will tell you.

Ethical information

On the bottom of each treatment page you will see a ‘Ethical information’ section. This will give you information regarding animal testing policies of the companies I use, as well as information on what may need to be avoided if you have ethical issues with using animal derived ingredients.

Brands used

For many years I have carefully curated brands that provide real results. You may have heard of some of them and others will be completely new to you as they are professional only brands. My treatments are individually designed and as such I will ultimately decide in my professional opinion what will be the best fit for you based on your consultation. There is an option to book your first facial treatment with me, during which we can discuss treatment options, timelines and product recommendations.
