Aromatherapy massage & body treatments

Aromatherapy can be a natural remedy for stress relief. Inhaling some fragrant plant extracts can directly affect the part of your brain that regulates emotion with many essential oils containing chemical components that are known to trigger a calming response in the brain, helping to alleviate the symptoms of stress and anxiety.

The Back Massage

30 mins | £29.00 60 mins | £39.00

Every massage I perform is led by you, by where you want and need the work on.

This treatment takes Swedish, hot stone and aromatherapy techniques, then blends them into an individually designed service, unique as you are.

Your massage is designed in my head while I am talking to you. I want to know how much pressure you like, where you want me to spend more time on, where you do not want working on, what smells you love so I can hand blend a unique treatment oil for your treatment.

Each back massage treatment begins with a dry body brushing and back cleanse ritual and ends with a gift of your unique essential oil blend suspended in a massage cream to take home and use for the rest of the week on your pulse points.

You can choose to have either 30mins or 60mins treatment time, depending on how you feel.

The Full Body Massage

60 mins | £39.00 (additional 30 mins £15.00)

This one-hour full body treatment takes Swedish, hot stone and aromatherapy massage techniques, then blends them into an individually designed service, unique as you are.

Much like the back massage, I will be led by our consultation and design the best treatment for you on the day.

Each full body massage treatment begins with a dry body brushing and welcome hand and foot cleanse ritual and ends with a gift of your unique essential oil blend suspended in a massage cream to take home and use for the rest of the week on your pulse points.

Indian Head Massage

30 mins | £20.00 60 mins | £30.00

Indian head massage is an extremely effective treatment for relaxation that has evolved from traditional techniques practised in India, as part of a family ritual, for over a thousand years.

While seated on a comfortable chair, clothed, the massage is applied to your upper back, shoulders, upper arms, neck, face and scalp. It works on both a physical and psychological level and is probably unlike any other massage treatment you have ever had.

Additional options include wearing a wrap for the treatment so aromatherapy oils can be used in the massage or using non-scented oils if preferred.

You can choose to have either 30mins or 60mins treatment time, depending on how you feel.

Styles of massage -

Swedish Massage -

Swedish massage is sometimes confused with 'deep tissue massage'. If you require deep tissue or corrective work, I advise you seek out a physiotherapist or sports massage therapist, which you can find by doing a search with their respective associations. Swedish massage is light to firm pressure working over the whole body.  It involves numerous techniques designed to release muscle tension.

Aromatherapy -

Aromatherapy can be traced back more than 3500 years. Used in Chinese medicine and other practices throughout the ancient world (like embalming mummies!). Modern aromatherapy is based on the use of essential plant/flower oils and resins that have an effect on the olfactory system.  I am trained in advanced aromatherapy and will blend a mix specifically for you at your appointment which will enable me to take your own likes on-board. When your treatment is complete you will be given a gift of your personalised oil, suspended in a massage cream, to take with you.

Hot stone therapy -

Hot stone therapy - Heated stones were used in China more than 2,000 years ago. Stones were also used for healing work in North America, South America, Africa, Europe, Egypt and India. Revived and turned into a modern therapy in 1993, hot stone therapy offers relaxation for muscles that other methods don't.
